Baked Bavarian pancakes with apple Carmel syrup

 

 

 

 

Items needed:

 

1 box           complete pancake mix

2 ea             apples

1/8 cup        clarified butter

¼ cup          whole butter

1/2 cup        brown sugar

1/8 cup        pecans

½ cup          heavy whipping cream

 

 

Method:

 

Using a pre-greased cake pan. Make batter for a 10-12 pancake recipe.

Place into the cake pan. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Slice one apple into thin slices.  In a separate pan, sauté one of the apples in a little clarified butter until they turn translucent.  Top with a little brown sugar and let melt. Place apple slices on top of pancake batter and then top with pecans and half of brown sugar. Place in oven for about thirty minutes then test with a fork

Sauce:

 

In a saucepan, add the melted butter and dice the remaining apple and cook for two minutes. Add the remaining brown sugar and let melt. Then add the cream and let simmer two minutes. Cut the pancakes into quarters and top with the sauce.
